My Journey

Hi, I’m Krista

I'm so glad you're here.

I still remember the first time I started therapy. Nervous, unsure of what to expect, a little afraid of saying too much or not knowing what to say at all. I felt stuck in my head, disconnected from my body, and unsure how to move forward.

That was about twenty years ago. I've been in therapy on and off ever since, through relationship shifts, big internal changes, life flipping me upside down, the slow softening of an inner voice that used to be loud and unkind, and a growing awareness of how disconnected I'd been from my own body.

Therapy in many forms has shaped me. But the work that's impacted me most deeply has been body-based: getting into my body, learning how to talk to her, releasing what she'd been holding for years, working with the subconscious and the layers that words alone can't reach. That's the work that brought me back to myself.

I've been a Registered Psychotherapist for over eight years, building a private practice, training deeply in various modalities, and supervising newer therapists. Alongside all of that, I've kept doing my own work, because I believe we can only walk our clients as far as we've walked ourselves.
My shift away from purely talk-based therapy was gradual. The longer I sat with clients, the clearer it became that insight is powerful but the body holds its own knowing. Real change tends to happen when the mind and the body work together, not separately. I'm still in the middle of my own healing too. There are always more layers, more conversations with my body to have, and honestly, I love that about it.

I work exclusively with women because I understand them most, I relate, and I feel deeply connected to the texture of their experiences. The ways we've been taught to abandon ourselves. The ways our bodies hold what we haven't been allowed to say out loud. Women are powerful and miraculous and deserve to be known, witnessed, and supported in the fullness of who they are.

I bring warmth, curiosity, and a good dose of realness. I'm bubbly and empathetic, but also grounded and deeply attuned. I'll meet you exactly where you are, human to human.
You don't have to have it all figured out. I sure didn't. You can cry, be confused, go quiet, or laugh in the middle of a hard conversation. I love a good laugh-cry. All of you is welcome here.

If something here resonates, I'd be honoured to connect.
