Why Online Therapy Can Be a Perfect Fit for Your Life.

There’s something magical about therapy—about creating space to pause, breathe, and focus on your inner world. But I know that life can feel so full, so busy, that even making time to step into that space can feel overwhelming. That’s where online therapy comes in.
When I first started offering online sessions during the pandemic, I wasn’t sure how it would feel. Could we create the same sense of connection and trust through a screen? Would people feel safe enough to open up? What I’ve discovered is that online therapy doesn’t just work—it can feel like a natural extension of our increasingly connected lives.
Imagine being able to have a session in the comfort of your favourite cozy corner at home, wrapped in your softest blanket, with a cup of tea nearby. Or maybe you’ve found your own quiet spot in nature or a nook in your home office where you can pause and reflect. Online therapy makes that possible. Maybe you're even out for a walk!
For so many of the people I work with, this sense of being “at home” is transformative. You’re already in your safe space, so you don’t have to work as hard to feel grounded. There’s no commute to worry about, no bad weather to drive through, no waiting room to sit in—just you and your process, exactly where you are.
Online therapy also opens doors that might otherwise feel closed. Whether you’re in a rural area, juggling a busy schedule, have kids at home, or searching for a therapist who really “gets” you, the virtual world makes it easier to find the right support.
For deep feelers and highly sensitive souls—those of you who feel everything so deeply it can sometimes feel like too much—online therapy offers a way to show up in your fullest, truest self. You don’t have to navigate the sensory overwhelm of a new environment or manage the vulnerability of walking into an office for the first time. You can just be.
One of the things I treasure most about being a therapist is the way we create a space together—a space filled with trust, understanding, and compassion. What I’ve learned is that this space doesn’t rely on a physical room. It’s something we build between us, and it’s just as real and meaningful online.
So if you’ve been wondering whether therapy is right for you—or whether online therapy could feel supportive—know this: the heart of therapy is connection. And connection doesn’t need four walls to thrive.
I’d love to hear from you if this resonates or if you have questions about starting therapy. I work with anyone located in Ontario and British Columbia, Canada. The first step is often the hardest, but it’s also the most beautiful. I can't wait to meet you!
